“Sculpture is the art of the intelligence” - Pablo Picasso
In this garment, we take a selection of maquettes from the Gipsoteca Bartolini, a room in the Galleria dell'Accademia di Firenze, that is dedicated to the 19th century Italian artist Lorenzo Bartoloni. By isolating the busts we create a sense of portraiture, highlighting the individual while observing what this group of women from that time in history looked like.
